Hi!! sorry I haven't posted in so long...we've been so so busy and my internet is unreliable. I can't believe it's already been a month! I'll post soon, I promise. Here's a super-brief outline of what my four weeks here have included:
Week 1: the first week of intensive language class and non-stop meetings
Weekend 1: excursions to St Guilhem le Desert (a medieval village set against some pretty mountains), Arles, and a beach near Montpellier
Week 2: more language class and meetings
Weekend 2: excursions to Aigues Mortes (another medieval village), Marseilles, and the beach again
Week & weekend 3: vacation! I visited a friend in La Rochelle and spent a few days in Paris
Week 4: classes started, finally. The university system is incredibly different here, so this week I'm going to all the classes (that I can fit in) that sound interesting, and then I register for the ones I like best. I'm also going to find a dance class to take, and some place where I can volunteer.
